You should probably spend some time searching through the "Global Issues in Context" section and the "Opposing Viewpoints" section. Research takes time. You will not always find what you need within the first couple of links. This is a research project that is part of our process writing unit. Research should be conducted for approximately 3-4 hours over the next week or two.
Citing Sources
You MUST have AT LEAST three (3) reliable sources. Complete the citation handout provided in class. You should enter information for all articles you read, not just the ones you plan to use for your paper.
Helpful Hint #1: The MLA citation for the article is usually already formatted and available at the bottom of the Gale Database article. You may copy and paste this information into your Google Doc for your Works Cited page. If you are unable to find this information at the bottom of the page, you will need to create your own citation for the work. Use this site to help you with this process: Purdue Owl's Online Journal Citation Link
More than likely you will need to use the "Online Scholarly Journal" work cited example.
Helpful Hint #2: You may want to use index cards as you are conducting research to jot some general notes and quotes down. Then you can transfer this material into a formal paragraph in your paper.
